Educrafters

If you find yourself near Thokar Chauraha, you might see our sign. We are right there in the middle of all the noise and the traffic. Being at a crossroads like Thokar Chauraha means there is never a dull moment outside our door. We call ourselves Educrafters because we feel like teaching is more of a craft than anything else. Our building is a bit old, and the stairs creak when you walk up to the second floor. Inside, we have set up several small classrooms with wooden benches and plenty of chalkboards. We still prefer chalk over those fancy markers because it just feels more real. The dust gets everywhere, but that is just part of the job. We have a lot of local kids coming in after their regular school hours. Some of them have been with us for years. We know their families and we know which subjects they struggle with the most. It is a very tight-knit community here. We don't use any fancy technology, just books and pens and a lot of patience. Sometimes we sit on the balcony during breaks and just watch the people go by at the chauraha. It is a busy life, but it is rewarding in its own way. We are just regular people who happen to know a lot about our subjects and like sharing that with others. We usually close up once the sun goes down and the traffic thins out.
