Durga Marble & Minerals

Our place is located in Sukher Udhyog Vihar, right off NH-8, covering several plots like G-268 and H-300. It is a large, open area because we deal with a lot of heavy stone and mineral products. There is always a layer of white dust over everything, including the office chairs and the vehicles. We spend most of our hours outside or in the shed area where the slabs are stored. Moving these materials requires a lot of heavy lifting and some basic machinery. It is loud and can get quite hot under the sun. We are mostly focused on sorting through the minerals or checking the quality of the marble blocks that come in. It’s not a clean job, but it is what we do. We talk to contractors and builders who need bulk materials for their projects. We show them around the different lots to see the current stock. It takes a while to walk from one end of our plots to the other. There is no air conditioning in the main work areas, so we just drink a lot of water and keep at it. It’s a gritty, hard-working environment where the main goal is just to keep the material moving out to the customers. We don't worry much about how the place looks, as long as the stone is ready for shipment when the trucks arrive.
