Dhakar Engineers

If you know the Dhawji Ki Bawdi landmark, then you’ve probably passed by our place. We are right there on the Pratap Nagar Main Road at Dhakar House. It’s a busy road, so there is always the sound of trucks and cars passing by. We are Dhakar Engineers, and mostly we just deal with heavy metal work and fixing things that people bring in. The workshop is big but it always feels full because of the projects we have going on. There’s grease on the floor and the walls are a bit stained from the smoke, but that’s an engineering shop for you. We don't wear suits or sit in air-conditioned rooms. We are out there with the tools, getting our hands dirty every single day. Sometimes we work late into the night when a job is stubborn. It’s just how it is. My brother and I run the place, and we’ve been doing this since we were young. We know the machines better than we know anything else. People stop by because they know we’re on the main road and easy to find. We don't have any big speeches about how we work. We just take the job, do the welding or the cutting, and give it back when it’s done. It’s practical work for practical people. That’s what Dhakar House is all about, just a bunch of us working hard every day to keep things moving along.
