Bherav Kirana Store

Bherav Kirana Store is situated on the 100 Feet Road in Shobhagpura. This is a busy part of town, so there is always a lot of movement outside our door. We mostly sell groceries and kitchen staples like sugar, spices, and grains. Our shop isn't very big, so we have to stack the sacks of rice and flour against the walls. It makes the place feel a bit cramped, but we manage to find everything when someone asks. The 100 Feet Road brings in a lot of different people, not just the locals who live right behind us. We get people who are driving through and need to grab something quickly. My brother and I take turns sitting at the counter. We spend a lot of our time weighing out items and packing them into small bags. It can get pretty tiring on our feet all day, but that’s just the nature of running a kirana store. We try to keep a good variety of brands so people have choices, even if we don't have a lot of space. We don't use any fancy computer systems; we just keep track of everything in our ledger and by looking at the shelves. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, but it works for us. We are just a local business trying to make a living by selling the basics that everyone needs for their daily cooking and cleaning at home.
