Bhandari Children Hospital

Bhandari Children Hospital is over at No. 90 in Bhupalpura. We are right on L Road. It’s a neighborhood where a lot is happening, and being a children's hospital, there’s rarely a quiet moment here. You can usually hear a child crying or laughing somewhere in the building. We have rooms set up for the kids, and they aren't perfectly decorated like a magazine, but they are functional. The staff here is used to the chaos that comes with working with little ones. We wear regular scrubs and don't stand on ceremony. The building itself has seen a lot of kids grow up over the years. Bhupalpura is a good central spot, so parents find us without much trouble. We have a small area where kids can wait, and sometimes there are toys scattered around. We don't try to look like a fancy corporate office. It’s a hospital, and it looks like one. Our desks are often covered in charts and notes. We take care of the kids, talk to the parents, and try to make things as easy as we can during a stressful time. The L Road traffic moves past the windows all day. We just focus on what’s happening inside. It’s a busy, sometimes messy, but very real place where we do our daily work for the local families. We mostly just drink our tea and keep an eye on the waiting list. That is our day.
