Asian Paints & Hardware Store

Our store is right in Kankroli, situated directly opposite the Paliwal Market. It is a good location because there are always people walking by on their way to do their grocery shopping. We carry a lot of Asian Paints stock, along with the usual hardware supplies like hammers, locks, and pipes. The front of the shop is often cluttered with displays or new arrivals that have not been put away yet. We do not have a lot of storage space, so we have to use every inch of the walls. Sometimes it feels like the cans are going to reach the ceiling. Dealing with the market traffic can be a bit loud, but it keeps us on our toes. We have a lot of regular customers from the surrounding villages who come in once a month for supplies. We know most of them by name and ask about their families while we mix their paint. It is a slow-paced kind of place most of the time. We do not use any fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still written down in ledgers. It works for us. If the shop looks a bit full, it is just because we like to have what people ask for on hand. We just keep things moving and try to be helpful when someone is stuck on a project. The bells on the door ring all day long as people come and go.
