Even though our company name mentions Tuticorin and Tamil Nadu, this particular office for Sterlite Industries (India) Limited is actually located up in Gwalior. We are over at 444, Suresh Nagar, in the R.K. Puri area. It is quite a long distance from the south, but we have been settled here in Madhya Pradesh for some time now. The office is in a residential-feeling neighborhood, which makes it feel a bit more relaxed than being in a big industrial park. We have a few rooms set up for the staff. Most of us are locals or have lived in Gwalior long enough to feel like we belong here. The work is mostly administrative and keeping track of things happening at other sites. We do not have a lot of corporate jargon or big meetings around here. We just talk like normal people and get the daily tasks sorted out. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit and we just wait it out or use the backup we have. It is just a normal part of life here. We are not a huge operation in this particular building, just a small and dedicated group. Suresh Nagar is a decent place to be based. We try to stay on top of the paperwork and all the phone calls. It is a bit of a mix-up with the name and the location, but this is where we are, just doing what we do every single day.
