If you walk down Margoschis Street in Nazareth, you will find our office at number 134. We are right there in the Tuticorin area, specifically in Thoothukudi. It is a busy enough street and we are just a small part of it. The building is older and has a certain smell of paper and ink inside. We started this place to handle local chit funds for the people living nearby. Usually, the day starts slow with some tea and checking the previous day's collections. We have a lot of regular people who have been coming to us for years. They know our faces and we know theirs. We don’t do any big advertising or anything like that. People just find us through word of mouth or by walking past. The desks are covered in ledgers and there is always a pen that doesn't work quite right sitting on the counter. We spend a lot of time talking to the locals who come in to pay their monthly dues. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when everyone shows up at once, especially on Saturdays. We try to keep the records straight and the math right. That is really all there is to it. We aren't trying to be a big bank or anything. We are just Rk Chits, working out of Nazareth and trying to stay on top of the paperwork every single day in Tamil Nadu.
