Kevina Herbs & Spices Impex

We’ve been here on Madhankovil Street for a while now. The road gets busy around Palayamkottai Road, especially in the mornings when the trucks come in. My name is Kevina Herbs & Spices Impex on the paperwork, but mostly people just know us as the place with the sacks out front. Every day starts early. We check the bags, look at the quality of what came in from the farms, and try to get things organized. It’s not a fancy office. There’s dust from the dried leaves and the smell of turmeric is everywhere, sticking to your clothes. Some days it’s just a lot of lifting and moving crates around. We talk to the local shopkeepers who stop by to see what we have in stock. The fans hum all day long to keep the air moving because it gets quite stuffy in the back room. Sometimes the rain makes the street muddy, and that’s a real headache for loading the vans. We just do our work, fill the orders, and keep track of the inventory in those big ledgers. It’s a simple setup. You won’t find anything high-tech here, just some scales and a lot of shelving. Sometimes we sit out front for a bit when it’s quiet just to watch the traffic go by. That’s pretty much how it goes here. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to get the spices where they need to go without too much fuss.
