We’ve been here at Rathinasamypurum for a good while now. Muruga Steels And Projects is basically just us doing our daily work on Seetharamchetty Road. If you walk past No. 25, you’ll probably hear the machines running or someone shouting over the noise of the steel being moved around. It is not a quiet place, that is for sure. We spend most of our mornings just organizing what needs to go where. Some days are busier than others, especially when a big project comes in and we have to get things sorted quickly. The office isn't much to look at, just some chairs and a desk where we handle the paperwork, but the yard is where everything happens. We have all sorts of steel stuff lying around. People come in and out, asking about this and that. We just tell them what we can do and how long it might take. There is no fancy talk here. We just know our steel and how to handle it. Sometimes the weather makes it hard, like when it’s pouring rain and the ground gets all muddy, but we just keep going anyway. It’s a local operation, mostly just a few of us making sure things get finished. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but our gate stays the same. If you are looking for us, just look for the sign near the corner. We are usually there from early morning until the sun goes down.
