If you go down to Villivakkam in Chennai, you’ll find us at 325/4 Babanagar Second Main Road. It’s a fairly quiet street compared to the main roads, but our office stays pretty busy. We handle logistics here, which basically means a lot of time spent on computers and phones. The Chennai weather is usually hot and sticky, so we keep the fans going all day long. The office is just a regular building with several desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We aren't trying to be fancy or showy. We just handle the movement of freight. It involves a lot of checking on port times and making sure the trucks are on schedule. Most of the people working here have been in Chennai their whole lives, so we know the city and how things work here. We don't have any scripted mission statements or polished speeches. It’s just a group of us trying to make sure the cargo gets delivered. Some days the internet is slow or the power cuts out for a bit, and we just have to wait it out. It's just a normal office routine. We deal with customs papers, shipping manifests, and a lot of different people every day. It’s a straightforward job, and we do it from this corner of Villivakkam. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what keeps the goods moving through the city.
