L&T(Aarvin Con)

Our office is over in Thermal Nagar, Tuticorin. We are in the Type I housing area, specifically 2/8 in Camp I. It’s a very specific kind of place to work, being so close to the thermal power setup. L&T(Aarvin Con) is the name on the paperwork. Living and working here is a bit different from being in a regular city. It’s quiet in some ways but there’s always that low hum of the industry nearby. We’ve been here long enough that the salty air from the coast doesn't even bother us anymore. The office space is pretty basic. We have a couple of desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of project maps pinned to the walls. We spend our time managing the construction side of things around the camp. Most of the guys are out on the site all day, so it’s just one or two of us in the office handling the local stuff. We get a lot of dust coming in through the windows, so cleaning is a daily battle. We don't have fancy uniforms or big meetings. Usually, we just talk over things while having a quick bite. It’s practical work. We make sure the supplies are where they need to be and the schedules are mostly met. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s our life here in the camp. We just keep our heads down and finish the tasks as they come.
