Indian Ocean Garnet Sands Ltd In Thoothukudi

Down here in Thoothukudi, the heat is usually the first thing people talk about when they visit us at Melur Post. Our office is over in the M.I.G Colony, specifically at C-25. We have been working with garnet sands for quite a while now. It is a messy business sometimes, dealing with all that heavy mineral stuff coming from the coast. The Indian Ocean Garnet Sands office isn't anything fancy to look at, just a regular place where we track shipments and handle the local accounts. You can usually find a couple of us hunched over the ledgers or talking on the phone with the guys at the docks. The dust from the sand sometimes finds its way into the files, but that is just how it goes in this industry. We spend a lot of time coordinating between the trucks and the ships. It is a lot of coordination and making sure the weights are right. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the colony and we just have to sit and wait for it to come back on. We aren't trying to change the world, just moving sand and making sure the orders get filled like they are supposed to. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Most of us have lived in this part of Tamil Nadu our whole lives and we enjoy the coastal breeze.
