Our office is down in Thoothukudi, specifically on 3rd Street at 1/30-12/4. This is a port town, so the air always has a bit of salt in it. We do logistics work here for Indev. It’s a hot place, and we usually have the fans going at full speed. We are tucked away in a part of Tamil Nadu where people work hard and don't talk too much fluff. Our building is simple. We have our desks and our computers, and that’s about it. Most of our work involves the ships coming into the harbor and the trucks taking goods inland. We don't spend time on glossy brochures. We just talk to the port authorities and the transport guys. The 628006 area is where we live and work. Some of the guys have been with the company since they were young. We’ve seen the town change over the years, but the work stays mostly the same. It's about getting things from point A to point B without losing anything along the way. We drink a lot of local coffee and try to stay out of the direct sun when we can. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of office. We just focus on the boxes and the boats and making sure the paperwork is signed. That’s how we do it here in Thoothukudi.
