Fathima Clinic

The clinic is tucked away in Toovipuram, and it’s been a staple in this part of town for a while. If you walk down the main street here, you’ll eventually run into us. It’s not a very big space, just a couple of rooms and a small area for people to sit while they wait. We usually have the fan going all day because it gets quite warm in the afternoons. Most of the people who come in are from the immediate neighborhood. They stop by on their way home from work or after dropping kids at school. We spend a lot of time just talking to the regulars who have been visiting for years. The floor is a bit worn down from all the foot traffic, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. We don't really do much advertising; people just find us by word of mouth or by walking past. The mornings are usually the quietest time, which gives us a chance to tidy up the files and get the medicine cabinets sorted. By the evening, it gets much busier. There’s always someone coming in with a minor ache or needing a quick checkup. We just keep things moving as best as we can. It’s a simple setup, nothing too fancy, just a local clinic trying to help out whoever walks through the door in Toovipuram. Every day is different, but the people stay the same.
