Designation

Out here in Thoothukud, on 13th Street in the P&T Colony, we’ve got our little office space. Designation has been here at this address for a long while. It’s a pretty specific spot to find if you aren’t from around this part of town, but the locals know where we are. We don't have a big neon sign or anything like that. We just show up every morning and start working. The coastal air is nice, though sometimes it makes everything a bit dusty if we leave the windows open. We spend our time managing the day-to-day stuff that comes in. It’s just a small group of us working here. We share snacks and talk about whatever is going on in the town. We don’t have those fancy ergonomic chairs or high-tech gadgets you see in the movies. Just basic furniture and what we need to get through the tasks. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out or find something else to do for a while. That’s just life. We’ve gotten used to the pace here. It isn’t fast, but we stay busy enough. We take our work seriously but don’t feel the need to shout about it to everyone. People know us, and we know them, and that’s usually enough for us. We just want to keep things running smoothly. Every day is pretty much the same, and we actually like it that way. No big surprises, just honest work at this old desk. It works for us.
