Amirtha Ayurvedic Hospitals

You can find us at number 92, right near the South Police Station on Palaiyamkottai Road. The hospital smells like herbs and warm oils most of the time. We have been working with Ayurvedic methods for quite a while now. The building is easy to spot once you get past the police station. It’s a busy road with lots of buses and autos rushing past. We have a small garden in the back where some of the plants grow, though most of our supplies come from the market. Inside, the floors are stone and stay cool even when the sun is beating down on the road outside. We have wooden tables for the treatments and a few quiet rooms for patients to rest in. It’s not a loud place; we try to keep things peaceful. People come to us when they are tired of modern medicine or just want something traditional. We spend a lot of time explaining how the different oils work. Sometimes the smell of the preparations is very strong, and it drifts out into the street. The staff stays busy boiling water and mixing things. We aren't a big fancy chain. We just focus on the treatments and making sure people feel a bit better when they leave. It’s a long day, but we like the work. There's always something to clean or a new batch of oil to prepare before we head home for the evening.
