Alto Ambient Architecture

Our office is on the first floor of the Park Apartment at No 106K/34/9D in Chinnamani Nagar 6th Street. It is right opposite the Chinnamani Nagar Park here in Thoothukudi. We like it because of the trees across the street. It makes the Millerpuram area feel a bit cooler in the afternoons. Inside, it’s mostly just a mess of rolls of paper and pencils and a few computers that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time drawing things and checking measurements. Architecture is mostly just looking at how things fit together and we do that right here at our desks. Palay Road West is usually busy, so there is always some noise from the bikes outside. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who know how to draw and plan. Sometimes clients come in and sit on the plastic chairs to talk about their houses. We don't have any fancy coffee machines or anything like that. Usually, someone just goes out and gets tea from the corner shop. It’s a simple way to work but we have stayed in this spot for a while now because it’s easy for everyone to get to. If you are near the park, you can just look up and see our sign on the balcony. We’re usually there from morning until late if the deadlines are tight. We find that the park view helps when we are stuck on a design and need a break.
