Swasthy Seva Sadan

Swasthy Seva Sadan is located right at the village and post office. It is what we call an "At /po" address. We are in a rural spot where things move a bit slower than in the town. Our building is a simple brick structure that has been here for years. We provide a place for people to come when they have a fever or a small injury. We don't have many fancy tools, just the basics like a blood pressure cuff and some thermometers. The post office is just a few steps away, so we always know when the mail has arrived. We have a small porch where people sit and talk while they wait their turn. In the rainy season, the roof leaks a little in the corner, so we have to put a bucket there. It is not a perfect place, but it serves the people who live around here. My wife helps me keep the records in some old cloth-bound ledgers. We don't have electricity all the time, so we keep some lanterns ready for the evenings. The road out front is just dirt, and it gets very muddy when it rains. We just do our work and try to help our neighbors. Most people pay us when they can, and sometimes they bring us some fruit or rice instead of money. It is a simple life at Swasthy Seva Sadan and we are okay with that.
