Aksa Bricks

We are located up in Sampalgre in the West Garo Hills. It’s a beautiful area, but the terrain can make the work a bit challenging sometimes. Making bricks out here is a lot of manual labor and depends heavily on the seasons. We mostly help out with local construction in the nearby villages and towns. It’s not like being in a big city; things move a bit slower here and we know most of the people we work with. Our yard is tucked away and we spend most of our time outdoors. When the rain starts, we have to pause a lot of our work, so we make the most of the dry months. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a simple site where we produce the bricks. We handle everything from the digging to the firing. It’s a lot of physical work, and our hands are usually dirty by the end of the day. We don't do much advertising; people just know where we are in Sampalgre. We're proud to be part of the community here in the hills. If someone needs bricks for a new wall or a small house, they usually find their way to us eventually. The roads can be rough for the trucks, but we manage to get the loads delivered where they need to go. We just try to keep things moving as best as we can given the conditions.
