Jeeva Jala Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based in Nonavinakere village, which is part of Tiptur Taluk in the Tumkur district. Our door number is 647/D. If you know this area well, you know it is big on coconuts and other local crops. We are a group of farmers who decided to pool our resources together a while back. It is much better than trying to do everything alone. Our office is just a simple room in the village where we meet up to discuss what we are going to do for the next season. It is not a corporate headquarters with shiny floors or air conditioning. It is more likely to have some mud on the floor from someone coming in from the fields. We talk about things like water levels, fertilizer prices, and where we can sell our produce without getting a bad deal from the middleman. Everyone in the 647/D area knows us because we are all neighbors who have lived here for years. We do not have any grand missions, just the daily task of making a living from the land. Sometimes the rains do not come when they should, and we all sit around worrying together. Other times, the harvest is good and things are a bit more cheerful in the village. We just take it day by day. It is a real community effort here in Nonavinakere. No fancy talk, just practical farming.
