We are situated right on the NH-4 service road in the village of Oorukere. This is in the Tumkur taluk. If you are driving on the highway, you can see us near the Indian Overseas Bank. The location is very convenient for trucks because of the service road access. We deal with hardware and steel, so our place is full of heavy metal rods and various building supplies. It is quite a noisy environment with the highway traffic zooming by just a few meters away. The ground is often covered in iron filings or dust from the road. We have a large open area where the steel is stacked. It gets very hot under the tin roof during the summer months. We have a small office tucked into the corner where we handle the billing. It is a simple room with a couple of chairs and a ceiling fan that squeaks. We usually have people coming in from the nearby villages looking for bits of hardware. We do not have any polished displays. Everything is just stacked where it fits. The bank nearby is the main landmark we tell people to look for. It is a busy, dusty, and practical place to work. We just do our daily tasks and watch the traffic go by on the NH-4. It is a steady life here in Oorukere and we stay quite busy with it.
