Our place is in TSR Plaza, right on the first floor. It’s a very easy spot to find because we are directly opposite the KSRTC bus stand in Turuvekere. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long, and the conductors shouting out destinations. The office looks out onto Dabbeghatta Road, so there is always something to see. We deal with various food products and keep most of our files in metal cabinets that have been here since we opened. The plaza is a bit older, with some cracks in the tiles and a ceiling fan that wobbles a little when it’s on the high setting. We spend our time coordinating with distributors and checking the inventory lists. It’s a practical workspace without any decorations on the walls. We usually have a lot of tea while we wait for the afternoon heat to pass. Most of the people working here live nearby in Tumkur, so we all take the same routes home. It’s a busy environment because of the bus stand, which means there’s always people walking around downstairs. We don't use any fancy software for everything; a lot of it is still written down in the big ledger books on the main desk. It’s just how we’ve always done it here since the beginning. We make sure the shutter is locked tight every evening before we head out for the night.
