SRI MAHABHALA NIDHI LIMITED

We are set up at Khata No 644/1, 662/1, 6221 right by Jogihalli Gate. This is Chikkanayakanahalli in Tumkur. It is a quiet enough spot most mornings until the local buses start rumbling past. SRI MAHABHALA NIDHI LIMITED is basically where we spend our whole day. We deal with small savings and loans for the people living around here. It isn't a huge operation. We have a few desks and some cupboards full of ledgers. Most of our members are farmers or small traders from the Tumkur area. They come in with their passbooks and we sit and chat for a bit before getting the work done. The door usually stays open to let the breeze in because it gets stuffy inside. We don't have any big advertisements or flashy signs. Just a board out front so people don't miss the turn at Jogihalli Gate. Dealing with money is serious, so we try to be careful with every entry. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a while, but that's just how it is here. We aren't trying to be some big bank. We just want to make sure people in the village have a place they can trust with their small bits of gold or cash savings. It is a simple life and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and do the paperwork as it comes across the desk each morning.
