We are located out on Sira Road, right by the NH4 highway in Lingapura. It’s in the Tumakur area. Shridevi Institute Of Medical Science And Research Hospital is a big place because it’s both a school for doctors and a hospital. Since we are near the highway, we get a lot of different people coming through. Some are students living nearby and others are just folks from Lingapura who need a doctor. It is a long walk from one end of the building to the other. We have labs and big rooms for lectures. The hospital side stays pretty busy most days. You can hear the traffic from the NH4 if the windows are open. It’s a bit of a trek to get here from the main town center, but the road is straight. We have lots of people working here, from teachers to cleaners. It’s a serious place but we try to be nice to everyone. The halls are wide and there are always people in white coats walking around. We’ve got a lot of equipment for testing things. It’s just how it is at a research hospital. We spend our time between the books and the patients. It is a lot of responsibility but we just take it day by day. Tumakur is growing, so there are more people coming to us lately.
