Goldfinch Retreat

If you head out toward Chikkajala and take the Sola Road, you’ll find us tucked away right behind the ITC Factory. Goldfinch Retreat is a bit further out from the main city noise, which is why people usually come here in the first place. It’s not always perfectly quiet though, since the factory is right there and you can hear the trucks coming and going at certain times of the day. We have a lot of ground to cover here, and we spend most of our time keeping the grass trimmed and the paths clear. It’s a lot of outdoor work, especially when the weather is messy. We don’t have a big marketing team writing fancy things for us. We’re just a group of people who keep this place running so visitors have a spot to stay for a night or two. The rooms are simple and we try to keep everything tidy, though the dust from the road always finds a way in. We see a lot of people who are just tired of the traffic in Bangalore and need a break for a day. We don’t offer anything life-changing, just a bed and a bit of space to walk around. Most of us have been working here for years, so we know every corner of the property. It’s just a plain, honest retreat that does what it’s supposed to do without any extra fluff or fake promises.
