Anand Steels

We are set up at Plot No-416 along the Doddaballapur Main Road in Yelahanka. It is a big space because steel takes up a lot of room and it is heavy to move around. We have piles of metal rods and sheets everywhere you look. It is not the prettiest place to look at, but it is where we work every single day. The sound of metal clanging together is pretty constant once we start moving things. We deal with builders and people who are doing their own construction on their property. Singanayakanahalli is a developing area, so there is always someone needing steel for a new roof or a frame for a shop. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to the truck drivers who come in. It gets really hot under the tin roof during the middle of the afternoon. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation with a headquarters in the city. We are just a local supplier trying to keep enough stock in the yard so people don't have to go all the way into town. Sometimes the supply from the mills is slow, and we have to tell people to wait a few days for their order. It is frustrating, but that is just part of the trade. We keep a simple ledger of what goes out and what comes in. It is a basic life, focused on the weight and the size of the metal we handle. We have been here for a bit and know the local landscape pretty well.
