Green Land High School

Our school is in Anand Nagar, which is a part of Osmanabad. The pin code here is 413501. It’s a simple building in a regular neighborhood. We don’t have any big signs or flashing lights. It’s just Green Land High School. Most of the children who come here live within walking distance. We see them walking down the road in their uniforms every morning. The building has a few floors and a small area for kids to stand during the morning assembly. It gets a bit dusty because the roads around here aren't all paved. We have some plants near the entrance, but the sun makes it hard to keep them green. Inside, it’s pretty basic. We have wooden benches and blackboards. The teachers have been here for a long time. We aren't a big city school with computers in every room. We just focus on the books and getting through the syllabus. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows for light. It’s a very local operation. We know the parents and we know the families. It’s just how things are in Osmanabad. We've been here for years, and the building has seen better days, but it serves its purpose. We just keep going, day after day, without any fuss.
