Tamil Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trichy

The Tamil Evangelical Lutheran Church here in Trichy is based out of Tranquebar House. Our address is 23C, and we are right in the heart of Trichirappalli at the 620 001 area. The building has been here for a long time and you can tell by looking at the walls. We have a small staff that keeps the place running day in and day out. It is not like a big business office where everyone is rushing around. It is a bit slower here. We spend our mornings checking on the property and making sure everything is in order for the people who visit us. There is always some dust to sweep or a chair that needs fixing. We talk to the locals who stop by and we try to keep the place welcoming for anyone who needs to be here. Tranquebar House is a bit of a landmark for us, so we take care of it as much as we can. We do not use any big words to describe what we do. We are just a group of people who are part of the church and work out of this old building. Sometimes the street outside gets really noisy with the buses, but once you step inside, it is much quieter. We just keep going with our daily chores and the work we have to do.
