Our shop is right on Perambur High Road, at number 11. If you know the area, you know how busy this road gets. It’s always full of people going to the station or heading to work. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and stacks of clothes. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor or making things look pretty for visitors. We are more focused on keeping up with the daily tasks. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. The tea man comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a small break to chat. There’s a lot of noise from the buses outside, but after a while, you just stop noticing it. We don't have any big meetings or long presentations here. It’s mostly just checking the fabric, making sure the stitching is okay, and packing things into bags. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out. It’s a simple setup, nothing like the big factories you might see in magazines. We just do our own thing here on High Road, making sure we get the work finished by the end of the day. Our neighbors are mostly other small shops, and we all know each other's names by now.
