Pooja Traders

We operate out of Manaparai in the Trichy district. Our place is called Lakshmiillam in the Lakshmipuram area. It’s a straightforward trading business where we deal with various goods that people in town need for their daily lives. The shop opens up early in the morning and we spend a lot of time checking the inventory and talking to customers who drop by to see what we have in stock. We’ve been in this part of Tamil Nadu for a long time so we know most of the people who live around here. Sometimes the new stock takes a while to arrive on the trucks and we have to rearrange the whole storage space to make room for the boxes. It’s a bit of dusty work at times but that's just how it goes with this kind of trading. We don't have a big fancy office with nice furniture, just a practical space where we can get things done and keep records. My family helps out with the books and making sure the orders are correct before they go out. We try to stay organized but on busy days it can get a bit messy with paperwork and boxes everywhere. The heat in Trichy can be quite a lot in the afternoons so we usually take a short break when the sun is highest. We just focus on buying and selling what’s in demand locally. It’s a simple life running a small business here. We just take things as they come and try to be helpful.
