Mysore Coffee Company

Our place, the Mysore Coffee Company, is at 156/1, 2 John Selvaraj Nagar. We are right near the New Bus Stand and just across from the NBS Towers in Madalampettai. Being so close to the bus stand means we see all sorts of people coming through. Travelers with their bags, bus drivers taking a break, and people waiting for their families to arrive. It’s a lively spot to be in. We’ve been here for some time now and the shop has a lot of character, which is a nice way of saying it’s a bit old. We focus on the coffee, making sure we have good beans that we grind ourselves. The smell usually travels out onto the street and brings people in. We have some wooden tables that have seen better days, but they are sturdy enough. It gets quite dusty with all the buses moving nearby, so we spend a lot of time wiping things down. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the basics to make a good cup of coffee. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually see one of us behind the counter. We don't have a website or do any big promotions. We just rely on the people passing by and the regulars who have been coming to us for years. It’s a simple way to make a living and we enjoy the daily conversations with our customers.
