Our office is located at 33/22 Agraharam in Aduthrai. We’re right across from the post office in Govindapuram. It’s a familiar spot for most people in the Tanjore area. Working in insurance means we deal with a lot of papers and folders every day. The building is a standard one for this street. We have some chairs for people to sit while they wait. It’s usually quiet inside, except for the sound of the ceiling fans. We’ve been here in Aduthrai for a while, so we know many of the faces that walk by. We don’t do a lot of flashy stuff. We just sit down with people and go through their documents. It’s important work, but we keep the atmosphere relaxed. The street outside is usually busy with people going to the post office or the local shops. We like being part of the local scene here in Tamil Nadu. Our desks are usually piled with files, but we know where everything is. We start early and head home when the sun starts going down. It’s a steady pace of life. We don’t have any big slogans or anything like that. We just show up and do the job that needs doing. It’s a practical office for a practical town. If someone has a question about their policy, they just come in and we talk about it over a glass of water. It is a simple way to work.
