Our office is tucked away on the 4th floor of the Unique Destination building. It’s right across from the Laxmi Mandir Crossing on Tonk Road, so it’s a spot most people in Jaipur know pretty well because of the traffic. Being up on the fourth floor gives us a decent view of the road, but honestly, we’re usually too busy to look out the window much. Building things involves a lot of back-and-forth between the office and the various spots where the actual work happens. Tonk Road is always moving, and sometimes it feels like we are too. We deal with all sorts of construction tasks. It’s mostly about making sure the materials arrive and the workers know what they are doing for the day. We aren't trying to be the biggest name out there, just a local team doing builder work from our space here in Jaipur. The elevator in the building can be a bit slow sometimes, which is a bit of a pain when we are in a hurry. Most of our days are spent talking to contractors or looking over plans. It’s a lot of coordination. It’s not the most glamorous life, but it’s what we do. People drop by to ask about projects, and we just give them the straight talk. No fancy presentations, just the facts about what can be built and how long it’ll take us to do it. We have a few desks, some old files, and a lot of empty chai cups lying around by the end of the day.
