Matra Vasudha Welfare Foundation

Matra Vasudha Welfare Foundation is run out of House No. 162 at Modi Ki Chowki in Tonk. It’s a regular house, which makes it easier for people to come talk to us without feeling nervous. Tonk is a place where people still take their time with things, and we do the same. We don’t like to rush. Most of our work is just checking in on the welfare of the families around here. We’ve got a few desks and some chairs, and that’s about it for the setup. It’s a bit dusty because of the roads nearby, but we keep it tidy enough. Being in the heart of the town means we see everything that happens. We aren't a big group with lots of money. We mostly just use what we have to help out. Sometimes we get things wrong, but we try to fix it. It’s honest work. The people in Rajasthan are hardy, so we try to match that energy. We don’t use big words or fancy titles. Everyone just calls us by our names. If you’re looking for us, just ask anyone near Modi Ki Chowki. They’ll point you to the right door. It’s a simple life, and the work we do for the foundation reflects that. We just want to see Tonk doing okay. We spend our evenings drinking tea and talking about how the day went. It's a decent way to live.
