We are located at Ankur Bairwa’s place in Shivaji Colony. It is right near the Ambedkar Circle in Niwai, Tonk. If you are familiar with the area, you know it is a place where people are always moving around, especially near the circle. Our office is a simple setup. We don't have any leather chairs or big glass tables, just what we need to get the work done. A lot of our day is spent talking to members about their small deposits and making sure every rupee is accounted for in the books. Being in a place like Niwai means we know most of the people who come through the door by their first names. It is more of a community feel than a corporate one. We handle the paperwork manually a lot of the time because it feels more personal that way. The colony is usually peaceful, though you can hear the traffic from the main road when the wind blows the right way. We open the shutters early and stay until the work is finished. There is always someone coming in with a question or needing a signature on a document. We just sit there, handle the cash, update the passbooks, and keep things ticking over. It isn't a complicated life, but we stay busy enough with the local folks who trust us with their little bits of savings every month.
