Dhanlaxmi Handicrafts

Dhanlaxmi Handicrafts is located right opposite the T.T. Publish School. We are in Laxmi Pura, Barer. You can hear the school bell ring every single day from our doorway. It is a busy little corner of the world. We make various handcrafted items right here in the shop. The workshop is in the back and the front area is where we keep the finished stock. It is not a big shop, so things are often stacked pretty high on the shelves. We use local materials when we can get them from the suppliers. Sometimes the supplies arrive late and we have to adjust our work schedule. My brother helps out with the heavy lifting and the deliveries. We have been in Barer for a long time now. People around here know us for being steady and reliable. We do not change things up too much. The floor is made of stone and it stays cool during the hot months. We have a small wooden bench outside where we sit during our breaks. The school kids walk past every afternoon making a lot of noise. It is a lively atmosphere to work in. We do not have a website or anything like that. People just come to the door when they need something. We show them what we have on the shelves and that is it. Some days are slow, other days we cannot keep up with the requests.
