Cambay Spa & Resort Gandhinagar Guj.

This business is a bit of an odd one because the name says Gandhinagar but we are actually located on Hi.Sec.School Road in Tonk, Rajasthan. We are part of the Cambay Spa & Resort setup. Tonk is a very different place from the busy parts of Gujarat. Our day starts early when the sun hits the road outside. It’s a lot of coordinating between different departments and making sure the grounds are looked after. Dealing with a resort and spa means there is always something that needs fixing, whether it’s a leaky tap or a light that’s gone out. We aren’t a huge corporate team; we’re just a bunch of people working together to manage the property. The road outside can get dusty, and we spend a fair bit of time just keeping everything clean. People come here hoping for a bit of a break, and we do our best to get their rooms ready on time. There’s no big fancy script we follow when people talk to us. We just answer as best as we can. It’s a lot of walking back and forth across the property. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the traffic go by on the school road, while other days we are running around from morning until late at night. It's just how the hospitality life is in a place like this.
