Gatham'S Modern Rice Mill

If you go to Lakshmipuram Village in Tiruvuru Mandal, you will find us at Pl.No.56/280. Gatham'S Modern Rice Mill is right in the middle of the Krishna District farming area. We see a lot of green fields around here before the harvest. The mill itself is a big shed with high ceilings. It gets very loud when the rollers start spinning. We have to shout to hear each other. The air is always thick with the smell of processed rice. It’s a busy life during the peak months. We don't have a lot of help, just a few local guys who know how to handle the machinery. Tiruvuru Mandal is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We just stay at our plot and keep the grain moving. Sometimes the birds get inside and try to eat from the piles. We have to chase them out. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it’s boiling outside. We don't use any big marketing tricks. We just show up and start the motors. The village is quiet at night after we shut everything down. It’s a basic life but it keeps us busy. We just focus on the bags and the trucks.
