Vasanthakumar Store

My shop is called Vasanthakumar Store and it is located on Ummachikulam Road. The exact address is 3/74 in the Krishnapuram Colony area of Madurai. We are not far from the New Natham Raod, which has become very busy lately. I have been in this spot for many years. It is a small building, and the paint is peeling a little bit on the outside, but inside we have plenty of stock. I sell things like spices, lentils, and stationery for the school kids. Madurai is a very warm city, so the shop stays quite hot, but I have a good ceiling fan. I open up early every morning to take the milk delivery. That is usually my busiest time because everyone wants their tea. The shelves are made of old wood and they have a lot of character. I use a small calculator for the bills because I never liked those big computer machines. They seem too complicated for a store like mine. Most of the people around here are regulars who have been coming to me since they were young. I know their names and what they usually buy. It is a quiet life on Ummachikulam Road. Sometimes a cow wanders by or some children play outside. I don't have any plans to change anything. This store is my life and it serves the neighborhood well. We just keep things simple and honest here every single day.
