Getting out to Skp Engineering College takes a little bit of time because it’s tucked away in Chinnakangiyanur Villege. It’s quiet out here, which is a nice change from the city noise. The roads leading to the village are okay, but you have to watch for the occasional cow or tractor moving slowly. I’ve been spending my days here for a few years now. The campus has a lot of open space and trees, which is good when the sun is hitting hard. Most people just call it SKP around here. We aren't trying to be some high-tech hub that looks like a spaceship; it’s just a solid set of buildings where stuff gets done. You can see the village life right on the edge of the property. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow or a light bulb takes a day to get changed, but that’s just life in Chinnakangiyanur Villege. It feels like a real place, not some polished corporate office. The students and staff are mostly locals or people who moved nearby to be close to the college. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the local news during breaks. If you ever find yourself driving through this part of the country, you’ll see the gates eventually. It isn't hard to spot once you get into the village area. It’s just a place for learning and getting through the day-to-day work without making a big deal out of it.
