Siva Silk Sarees

We are located right on National Talkies Road. It’s a busy area in Tarni, especially on the weekends. Our shop isn't very large, but we've managed to fit a lot of sarees into the space we have. Most days, we are busy folding things back up after customers have looked through them. It takes a lot of time to keep things neat. We've been in Tiruvannamalai district for quite some time. The building is old, but it stays relatively cool inside. We don't have any big signs or anything. Just the name on the door at No. 16. Usually, it’s just two or three of us working. We get our stock from a few different places, and sometimes the shipments arrive late, which is a bit of a headache. We try to keep things simple. People come here because they know we have regular stuff for everyday wear and some nicer things for functions. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around. We just like having a business in our local town. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, but you get used to it after a while. We spend a lot of our time talking to the weavers and picking out patterns we think will look okay. It’s a lot of manual work. We close up around eight most nights unless someone is still looking at something. It’s just a normal life for us here in Tarni.
