Senthil Bhavan Hotel

The sun comes up pretty early here in Tiruppalai and we usually have the shutters up before most people are even awake. Being in the NRKS complex means there is always something going on nearby with people coming and going for their own errands. We spend a lot of our time just getting things ready for the day and making sure everything is in its place. Madurai can get quite hot so we try to keep things moving as much as we can. It is a simple spot really. Most of our regulars are folks who live right here in the Oomachikulam area or people just passing through on their way to work. You can hear the traffic from the road and the sounds of the neighborhood waking up while we go about our business. We do not have anything fancy going on inside but it works for us and the people who stop by. Sometimes the fans are clicking and the chairs are being dragged across the floor as folks find a seat. It gets noisy during the lunch hours but that is just how it is in this part of town. We have seen the area change a bit over the years but our corner of the complex stays pretty much the same. Most days it is just about keeping up with the orders and making sure the kitchen is running. It is a lot of work but it keeps us busy.
