You can find Kkev Creation over at 153, Sathyamoorthy Road, right near Big Sourashtra Street. It’s a busy part of town and there is always something going on outside our door. We’ve been here for a good amount of time now. The building is older, but it has a lot of character and it suits the kind of work we do. We mostly focus on making things, putting patterns together and seeing how they turn out. It’s a lot of hands-on work. Most of the staff live nearby, so we all know each other pretty well. The workspace is filled with different fabrics and threads. It can look a bit messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and someone will be there working on a machine or cutting fabric. We have tea together in the afternoons when things quiet down a little. It’s a simple way of doing things. We don't spend money on big advertisements or fancy signs. Most of our work comes from people who know us in the neighborhood. We just try to do a solid job on every piece that comes through the shop. Some days are longer than others, especially when we have a big deadline, but we don't mind the work.
