Hari Stores

Hari Stores is located at 254 A on Gandhi Road in Arani. This road is always full of people, especially in the evenings when everyone is out walking. Our shop is just one of many along this stretch, but we’ve been here long enough that people know where to find us. We sell a bit of everything. The shelves are packed pretty tight, and sometimes things get tucked behind other things. We spend a lot of time rearranging the cans and boxes so people can see what we have. It’s a small space, so you have to be careful when you’re moving around. I usually stand behind the counter while my son helps with the heavy bags. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the one that’s been there for years. It’s faded a bit from the sun, but it still works. We don't try to compete with the big stores in the city. We just provide what the local folks need on their way home. Sometimes we stay open a bit late if there are people still out and about. The floor is old stone and it’s a bit uneven in places, but it’s solid. We don't have a website or anything. If you want something, you just come in and ask. That's how it’s always been for us on Gandhi Road. It’s a simple business and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and serve the people who walk through the door.
