Dcm Hardwares is located at 73, Main Road, Pallikondapattu. It is a pretty straightforward place. We decided to set up shop here because it seemed like a good spot for people in the village to get what they need without traveling too far. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular brick and mortar place with a lot of heavy stuff inside. We spend most of our mornings moving things around to make space. It is surprising how much space a few bundles of wire or some bags of cement can take up. We don't really have a philosophy or anything fancy, we just show up and sell things. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk to whoever comes in for a chat. Other days, everybody wants something at the same time and it gets a bit hectic. We try to keep things organized but it doesn't always stay that way. The floor gets scratched up from the metal pipes and heavy tools, but that is just part of the job. Being on the Main Road means we get to see everyone going about their day. It’s nice to be a part of the local scene here in Pallikondapattu. We don't do any big advertising because word of mouth seems to work well enough for us. If someone needs a tool or some hardware, they usually just walk over. That is pretty much all there is to it.
