Agarathi Store

Agarathi Store is located in the Agarathy Complex in the Water Board Colony area. We are right on New Natham Road in Tiruppalai. If you are familiar with this part of Madurai, you know it has grown a lot lately. Our shop is just a regular spot where people from the colony come to get their daily supplies. We carry a mix of groceries and some stationery items that the school kids often need. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a door and some shelves, but we try to keep what people ask for. Sometimes we run out of things if the delivery truck is late, but that's just how it goes sometimes. The morning time is usually spent unpacking crates and making sure the prices are marked. We don't have a team of people, just a couple of us who take turns being here. It can get quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually sit near the front to catch whatever breeze comes from the road. We see a lot of people heading out to work in the morning. Most of them stop for a quick item or just to say hello. It feels good to be part of the neighborhood like this. We don’t do big sales or anything like that, we just sell things at the normal price and try to be helpful.
