Ventura Fibre

Ventura Fibre is situated at Dp 5 A in the Sidco Industrial Estate over in Thirumazhisai. It’s a heavy industrial area, so there are always trucks moving and the sound of machinery in the background all day long. Our unit is basically a large shed with a small office partitioned off at the front near the entrance. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, but we have some big fans that keep the air moving through the floor. There’s a lot of raw material sitting around, mostly different types of fibres and resins. It has a very specific smell that you get used to after a few days of working here. We spend most of our time out on the production floor. The floors are concrete and stained from years of hard work. We aren't big on decorations or making the place look pretty. It’s a factory, after all. The team here is local, mostly guys from around Thirumazhisai who have been doing this kind of work for years. We don't have a human resources department or anything like that. If there's a problem, we just talk it out during the lunch break. We eat together at the big wooden table in the back. It’s steady work, and we keep a regular schedule from eight to five. Sometimes we stay late if a big order needs to go out, but mostly we like to get home. It’s just how we run things here.
