Veltech College Of Engineering Avadi has a few spots on Vellanur Road, specifically at numbers 42 and 60. It’s right on what people call the Veltech Road in Avadi. If you know this part of Chennai, you know it’s very industrial and can get incredibly hot during the summer months. The road is always busy with buses and heavy trucks moving through. Our campus buildings are a bit spread out. You see a lot of students walking between the different blocks in their uniforms. The local shops nearby do a lot of business selling notebooks and snacks. We’ve got a lot of history in this neighborhood. The buildings aren't brand new; they have that lived-in look with posters and notices taped to the walls. We spend a lot of our time managing the crowds during exam season. The offices are usually full of files and ledgers. It's a no-nonsense kind of place. You won't find much luxury here, just desks, chairs, and computers. The overhead fans are always on full blast to deal with the humidity. Sometimes the water supply is a bit finicky, but we have tanks to keep things going. The staff has been around for a long time, so we all know each other well. It feels like a small town within the college. It’s a long commute for those living in the city, but the Avadi area has its own rhythm that we have all gotten used to.
