Our workplace, Tribology India Ltd, is located in Padi, tucked away behind the Sundaram Break Line. It’s a bit of a hidden spot if you aren't familiar with the industrial layout of this part of town. Padi is known for its factories and workshops, and we are right in the thick of it. The building we are in is simple and sturdy, built for utility rather than for looks. There isn't a big sign out front or a fancy lobby. You just walk in and you’re pretty much in the middle of things. The sounds of the neighboring units are always in the background—the hum of machines and the occasional shout from a worker. We have a modest setup with just enough space for our team to get through the daily workload. Most of us have our own routines, starting with a quick tea before the phones start ringing. The humidity here can be quite something, especially in the afternoons, but we have our fans going and we just get on with it. We don't have time for those shiny marketing slogans you see elsewhere. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words. We just value a solid day of work and getting things right for the people who rely on us. It’s a straightforward life in Padi. When the workday ends, we navigate the crowded streets and head home. It’s a practical and honest place to spend our time.
